Scarlet Daughters of South Asia is a poignant and disturbing portrayal on women and child trafficking that exists in different countries in South Asia. “I tried to break so many boundaries of my thoughts, to articulate things I have seen in several parts of the world, honoring the extra-ordinary precious experiences I gathered in my encounters with trafficked, sexually abused, and traumatized women and children cut off from the world of reality. I attempted to fathom those meaningful experiences to depict several dimensions of the issues in trafficking to breathe life into those impoverished and forsaken women and children.”
